Its a day when some of DMCD 1 0683A classmates gotten into war.
"PAINTBALL!!"
Colin, Anwar, Tim and me were in a team(Black), while Daniel, siva, Nic, Mic forms up the other(Green).
Face mask on, vest on, guns up and we were all ready to attack our opponents,
1st round- team wins if the other side of the ballons are being burst first.
Winner:Green team.
Elimination Rounds
we started out the the entrance of our castle, waiting for the sirene to go off, once it did the firing starts. The girls got the better of the situation cos we got the better guns, able to shoot in the range of 6m, wherelse the guys were only able to shoot 3m.
The thrill and excitement is way beyond explaination!
During one of the round Mic was the only one from the Green team defending herself from dan, anwar and me. In less than a min the both of them were shot by her. And it was down to us, but none got shot because our rounds were used up.haha
The last round was like we're watching a hongkong show, nic and colin up against each other, hidding, crawling, jumping, during that tense moment to the both of them, the rest of us guys were laughing like crazy in the rest tent.
Some got shot, both minor and major. Bruises are inevitable.
Tim so poor thing, he fell the 2nd round, topping that up siva shot him in the finger at a close range, mic gave him a head shot and another at the arm.
aiyo la~ wasted his mag not only that, didnt get to play much cos his fingers were badly shot.
Anwar got shot in his arm 3times, his injury looks scary~ not something i would wanna bring back from paintball crossfire~!
the others and i gotten a lil bruise here and there, despite the pain the game was FUN FUN FUN!!!
I wanna go back there some other day again!! =DD |

Dorcas got us to prepare sermon on either Leadership, Rising Up, Hunger, Passion, to share before service.
I prepared on Rising Up, think its which thats closer to my heart at this period of time.
" a good message is one that is able to impact others"- Dorcas
i hoped mine had impacted at least some people, to start thinking its really the time to rise up to greater heights. Even myself =)
Below is the outline of my prepared sermon:
=Rising up, The Call Of A Leader=
[Isa 6:1, 8]
Isaiah 6 illustrate how God calls many leaders. Isaiah had a vision to be a messenger for God.
God did not just made a call to just one person, but He issued a general call, for anyone. The difference is Isaiah took the call personally.(v8)
-we're rising up because at a point of time we took the call personally, we all have a vision to be a leader someday.
[Jeremiah 1:5-8]
We may feel dishearten at times, or being intimidated by the rising up of others faster then us, but it says here that God had ordained us to be prophets/leaders and do not worry even if we may be youths. We will have the chance to be able to rise up.
5 Keys That Brings You To Your Calling:
1)Believe- not only in God but yourself.
Its the basic thing that requires from you after you're being called.
2 bible scripture Eg. that showed healing took place when people believed:
(i) [Matthew 8:13] -Because the Centurion had great faith and believed that Jesus could heal his servant without having to go to his home, his servant was healed at the very hour when Jesus spoke.
(ii) [Matthew 9:28]-Again the bible mention " believe". He asked if His disciples believed that He could cause the blind to see and they believed so the blind got healed.
so just as the people Believed which causes great healings to take place, same like having great believe that you'll be able to rise up.
And people follows a leader who have confidence in himself. Confidence not just for show, but to Empower!
2) Trade Fears for Faith
[Exodus 3:4, 5]
-we have to be broken down before the Lord, it involves removing inappropriate pride & self reliance.
If we believed but yet have fear in our hearts, how then are we able to step out to serve?
Moses had to dealt with different kinds of Fear in his encounter with God:
-Fear concerning Himself
i.e fear of not being able to rise up
-Fear concerning God
i.e fear of not knowing Him well
-Fear concerning others
i.e fear of what others think of you
-Fear concerning his ability
i.e fear of not being able to serve well and be a great leader
So when finally when fears are dealt with, we're able to place our life into God's hands to prepare for out purpose.
3)Passion
[Colossians 3:23]
Experts figure out that it's not the credentials, intellegence, education and other factors that make people successful but it is the "PASSION"- having the fire and love to do the things you enjoy.
-the stronger your fire, the greater your potential.
-passion makes you a much dedicate & productive person
i.e you start taking note of the problems in your ministry, start planning for things to happen.
-passion makes impossibilities vanish
Always remember that a leader with passion will outperforms a leader with great skills without passion.
4) Don't let go of your dream
[Numbers 14:16-8,10]
-A dream is fagile.
"dreams are like soap bubbles floating close to jagged rocks on a windy day"
Jagged rock-people who put you down,people who despise your dream,situations that hinders you from fulfilling your dream.
But once it had time to be firmly establish, even a storm can't knock it down.
-So hold on to your dreams no matter what!
5)Choosing a Leadership to Model
[1 Thessalonians 1:5-7]
To be a leader, we should find good models to emulate after. They determine what kind of leader you become, as you model after them you pick up their characteristic, their way of preaching & handling situation. A personal mentor benefits you.
These are the Keys to being who you're called to become.
Dont treat rising up as a competition, cause you wont be able to enjoy the process of it.
[Proverbs 25:6-7]
-the road to leadership comes through service, when we are given opportunity serve well.
We cannot force our ways into a position God does ot want us to have, nor will we miss the opportunity to serve when God desires.

hmm challenging is difficult because you've gotta touch their emotions and change their mindset. Nonetheless its a good experience =))

The new term was start with TVRP=Television Radio Production
Its a 100% interests absorber. I love the history of my lecture, and i love it more when he is the one guiding and teaching us. I cant wait to lay hands on technical equipments in the studio. Like finally after months of pen and paper, arrives the age of technology~!
I promise to be hardworking this term and will try not to ever be late for class for more than 15mins.
Amazingly, how pride or ego gets into the way without you even noticing it did until the aftermath of the situation.
was i too content and comfortable of where i was? or did serving become a mundane to me?
"Lord im sorry if i didnt spend more time you, im sorry i did at a period of time felt going for church services and meeting a routine, im utterly sorry i didnt use my potential to the fullest and i want to know that not because im useless that i didnt got through the interview, but because only you know truely when is the time and when not is. Till the time to come Lord i wanna stand before you with no gruges nor unhappiness against any brethren and i want to let this walk with You be such of an interesting, beautiful, calming, lovely experience i go through, with no competition. Lord i wanna do what you want me to do and not rush things thats not of Your plan yet. Let me be slow to wrath. "
It true, the last shall be the first, leadership of people once considered under your guidance raise up higher of you are. It might be difficult to submit to such leadership, but still it's afterall God's decision and not obeying means not obey our Father. I dont want to be a foolishman, i dont want to complain.
" Its not all about competition in a leader's world, of who among is or will be the greater leader, but its all about the passion the love in doing what one is called to, if its a competition i rather pull my white flags up high."
i've gotten out of the trance, i've thought through, membership maybe important, but its not as important in knowing God and Him knowing who we are deep down inside.
I love You, and i am committed in knowing You more, letting You understand my every part of me, i want to stand purely before You like a bride. I wanna have a covenent with You. I Love You.
Take me away in this whirlwind of Yours i dont want to be left outside alone without Your presence and touch. |

Its done and over with exams for this term! still alright for all the papers at least the assurance of not failing is there.
I feel so sorry i couldnt attend diana's surprise birthday party~ but i know u guys had fun =)
After having lunch with classmates at ikea, we walked around a little and then its off to simei to meet mummy, while wasting my time off till her dismissal, tim and i spend endless minutes just looking at pups, cockel spaniel are so cute! kinda felt a little bonding by just looking at it, and who say chiwawa are ugly? they're just small & playful, i wished i could put them in my pocket. I'd like owning a cockel spaniel!
Picked ah ma and Jet boy from bedok rias, he's so charming and cute as well,dressed in polo tee, branded jeans and a baby nike dunks. He's so fashionable, the car ride to east coast park was fun, Jet sang a couple for songs and converse with us.
Upon arriving at Carbanas beach-a ala cate dining place for Kor's Birthday Celebration, we settled down placing orders on our main dishes. I say its absolutely fantastic, pleasing to the taste buds. Oh yea Kor u're smart huh, asking our uncles n aunts over for dinner to get Ka-chings $$, will pick up that genes from you.
Anyways, the ambience was great and all but i just don't understand the way they run the business. Strict rules and regulation, i believe in business line, esp F&B you cant stinch your way to success.
Not as if we're not purchasing and consuming your food when we only had to bring in BK for Jet because nothing suits his appetite in your menu, and Godpa had to pay a charge if he were to bring in his own wine for his godson's birthday, even mineral water has to be paid for. Its $600 worth of reciept we're paying for in just a mere few hours and you're merticulous on every single small values. Its not that we cant afford but, aint business supposed to be flexible?
Mum is right, you never know what big businessman would knock on your door, but with such service provided it isnt worth the second time coming back even if the food taste great.
Still i'd give a thumb up to the food quality.
And i cant wait for next term to start, Monday!, i miss school already, and there's gonna be TV and radio production. Wee~!! =D

Its exams again...
SBS,HMC was all alright,the things i studied for came out =DD
We're left with TDMC and TPSW and its back to school team again! =C
I felt like a burden has just been taken off, things that has to be settled, is almost half way settled. Good Things that will happen will soon to happen. And the truth that has to be revealed to the respective in charge will be revealed!
Melissa is not just one that can be played around, and if i have to i'll do it the crude way, even if u were to hate me, i dont care because thats not the way to hurt a girl, thats not the way to be a helper. Looks dont buy u anything. And i hope u dont deny or defend urself cause u dont know how much trouble is coming ur way when the matter goes up!
Aside with such emotions, im not this type of harsh girl, its only right for justice to be done, for the rightousness of God to still exsist. Dont go wearing around a mask with leaders and helpers when u are not who u really are.
i dont really care now i just dont want history to repeat its past with other girls. And when i've moved on i dont want u to be in it either.
Im not any soft girl when u get hard on me. I dont buy fake sweetness, and i want what is rightfully mine.
U pray so hard that God wont remove u from the face of this earth and U pray harder that He will grant U a repentance. And after that dont go running in circles again. |
